What do you get when you cross a classic Hatteras motor yacht with a Manhattan restaurant?
Above photos: Interior of Lure Fish Bar on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Note the "teak and holly sole" flooring, porthole window and ship style tables. Generous Bloody Mary is garnished with a jumbo shrimp and is accompanied by an oyster chaser. Mahi mahi fish tacos with fresh greens and vegetables.

WaterCooler visited the 2010 Vintage Car and Boat Festival at Bay Harbor, Michigan on June 26th. This year was the 12th annual event which benefits the Bay Harbor Foundation. Classic automobiles were on display on the village streets and on the lawns adjacent to the marina.

This week's frigid winter weather is so widespread that even sunny Florida has not been left out. Even so, writing from Fort Lauderdale this week where the weather, while cold for us, was still WAY above zero. Over the recent Christmas through New Year's holiday, we took a break from the sunny south to visit Northern Michigan. Above you'll see how inviting Bay Harbor, Michigan looked in the summer of 2009 and how it looked over the Christmas season. Obviously, the marina was not the attraction at this time of year. What compelled our visits to Bay Harbor were the delicious meals and beverages offered at the harborside restaurant Cava.
