One of the most interesting sights at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show was the owner's new toy on board the 115' Crescent Motoryacht Kapalua.
We toured the boat with Barbara Cornell from Northrop and Johnson and Kapalua stewardess Anna Louise Upton. Upon reaching the sun deck, we discovered the owners' proudest and most recent acquisition; the F.I.B. (Floating Inflatable Boat) a curious cross between an inflatable boat and a hang glider, which takes off from the water, rising up to 10,000 feet.
The yacht is beautiful and luxurious details abound, the crew was incredibly welcoming and they expect a busy charter season this winter. Unfortunately, the F.I.B. is reserved for owner use only. Kapalua offers plenty of toys and amenities for guests and the yacht's Chef Patrick Roney won the Charter Yacht Chef's contest in Newport, Rhode Island this year.
For more information contact Northrop and Johnson.
