"Jimmy! Lemme buy you a drink!" Not an uncommon phrase at boat show gatherings, but rarely are the drinks free ... or two ounces. Hendrick's Gin had one of the most entertaining and complex displays at this year's show. Decked out in turn-of-the-century garb, models, bartenders and waiters provided passers by with tastes of specialty drinks made with Hendrick's Gin. Below I've included a recipe from cards handed out at the booth, just in case you'd like to try it yourself. Make sure to use Hendrick's Gin, because the recipes were specially designed to complement the cucumber flavor of the gin. In the end, it was hard to get away from the Floradoras and City by the Sea Punch because each time you turned around was another server giving you another drink. Our favorite waiter was Dylan Thompson (pictured here) who at one point offered us a drink and we said we already had one, he responded, "Yes, but you have two hands."
~ Ingredients ~
1.5 oz Hendrick's Gin
.5 oz Lime juice
.5 oz Raspberry syrup
Spicy ginger beer
~ Preparation ~
Assemble ingredients and shake well. Serve in an ice=filled Collins glass. Garnish with two raspberries and a lime wheel.
