Project: Postcard Design for The Sea of Pink Boat Parade
The Sea of Pink Boat Parade was an event sponsored by Gilman Yachts over the last few years to benefit the Komen South Florida Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer.
As hundreds of walkers and runners logged in their miles along the Intracoastal Waterway in Downtown West Palm Beach, Gilman Yachts organized a mini-parade of owners, captains and friends, who decked their boats in pink flags and bows and cruised to cheer the runners.
I worked with Gilman Yachts to create an invitation postcard design to promote the event and each year we were fortunate to count with vendors that provided what we needed, interesting paper, quality printing, and even rope for a design that involved making a breast cancer bow out of boat rope.
It was rewarding to be able to use our marketing expertise to support such an important cause and to work with a team in the yachting industry that wants to make a positive difference with a worthy project.
