Our New York correspondent reports on "The Hurricane With No Name"
If you were in New York Metropolitan area this weekend you would have found yourself stranded in your apartment looking out the window and wondering why streets turned to rivers and when rain started to fall sideways. On March 12, 2010 the rain started to fall. On Saturday morning wind started to pick up forcing the Staten Island Ferry to discontinue service, flights were grounded, streets flooded as New York City and its neighbors found themselves in the midst of hurricane force winds. In the aftermath of the storm hundreds of thousands of households are without power and entire towns are underwater. However, there hasn't been much word on what happened on the water, hopefully the area marinas were better equipped for the storm than those on land. Thankfully most pleasure craft are still dry-docked for the season and so far no commuter ferries were damaged. Check out the storm pictures at ABC Channel 7 News.
